The GDPR has been in force since 2018. Because it is all about data and privacy, it also affects email marketing. However, MailCamp has already taken care of a lot for you. If you work with MailCamp, you can become GDPR-compliant relatively easily.
In our software you can easily sign our data processing agreement, which records our agreements on privacy. The software itself records clearly how signing up (the opt-in process) went and so how someone ended up in your email list.

Data storage in the Netherlands
The GDPR requires data to be stored securely in Europe. MailCamp guarantees this. The data centre of our hosting partner Duocast/Quickhost is located in the Netherlands and therefore complies with the GDPR, unlike many foreign competitors.
The well-known Mailchimp in particular is under fire because it conflicts with the GDPR. So choose a Dutch solution that is 100% GDPR-proof!

Is MailCamp 100% GDPR-proof?
The honest answer? 100% GDPR-proof unfortunately does not exist. An example: under the GDPR there is a "right to erasure". If a contact wants their data to be deleted, a company should make that happen, but that cannot be done completely. IT companies make backups, for example, and you cannot delete a single record from a backup. But everything that can be done, MailCamp has properly arranged!
