Email marketing in general

Why should I buy email marketing software rather than just emailing with Outlook?

Outlook is an email client for everyday email traffic. It is not suited to sending bulk mailings! Sending a mailing with Outlook takes a lot of time, the layout suffers and there is a considerable chance your bulk mailing ends up in the spam filter. You also run a serious risk of ending up on a blacklist.

Outlook also offers no statistics or tools to determine the effectiveness, and therefore the success, of your mailing.

Why should I send digital mailings?

Sending digital mailings is a must! Email marketing is one of the most effective and best-performing marketing channels. The benefits:

  • Relatively low cost per contact
  • Response is easy to measure
  • Interactivity through click-through links
  • Quick and easy to set up
  • Personal contact through personalisation
What are the uses of sending newsletters?

Sending newsletters has many uses:

  • Generating leads
  • Boosting sales (cross-sell and upsell)
  • Acquiring new customers

About MailCamp

4
What sets the MailCamp software apart from other providers?

MailCamp is the only mailing software in the Netherlands that you can also buy as a one-off purchase. A lifetime licence makes our software ideal for senders with large mailing lists. This pricing model is the opposite of the traditional one, where providers charge you based on the number of subscribers (Mailchimp, among others) or the number of credits.

In addition, MailCamp offers a perfect mix of a super user-friendly and Dutch package(!) combined with personal and professional support. And all of that at the sharpest price on the market!

When is it better to take out a subscription to your package?

Do you have small mailing lists and want an easy start? Then choose the monthly subscription that fits the number of newsletters you expect to send. You can upgrade to your own licence or a higher subscription at any time. If you send fewer than 20,000 emails per month, we generally recommend a subscription.

Can my existing address list be imported from another program?

Yes, in our software you can easily import address lists from other systems, such as Excel. The required file format is CSV.

Are the newsletters optimised for mobile?

Absolutely, with our responsive editor you can easily create responsive newsletters. Your newsletters are then automatically optimised for comfortable reading on all mobile devices.

Technical

Where is MailCamp hosted?

Our email software runs on an optimised shared MailCamp server. The MailCamp servers are set up for email marketing, are technically well configured and send their mail from IP addresses with a good reputation. A good reputation makes your mail more likely to reach your recipient's inbox (and so reduces the chance of landing in the spam folder).

By hosting on a MailCamp server you benefit from the good sending reputation our servers enjoy. Your emails are therefore more likely to arrive in your readers' inboxes.

Can I connect your software to other systems?

Absolutely, your system or website can be connected to our newsletter software. We have various plug-ins available. With our extensive API you can integrate any system anyway.

Do I have to install your newsletter software?

No, you do not have to install our software yourself. If you buy a licence as a one-off purchase, we make sure it is installed on your server or ours (see hosting). If you have a MailCamp subscription, we quickly and easily create an account for you. You can then log in straight away via your browser and start using MailCamp.

Are your newsletters delivered well to the inbox?

Sending newsletters via MailCamp means good delivery of your emails to the inbox. MailCamp continuously optimises the sending reputation of its servers, so your mailings arrive in your readers' inboxes rather than in the spam folder.

When is MailCamp a better choice than Mailchimp?

Mailchimp offers no personal support, which many SMEs find pleasant or even essential. MailCamp does! We are happy to help with personal advice and support. View the comparison.

Yes, you can personalise your mailing with, for example, a personal salutation, and you can also personalise the subject of the newsletter. Personalisation creates a better response and better conversion.
