API integration
With the MailCamp API you synchronise data between your own system and MailCamp and get a seamless integration.
Exchange data
The MailCamp API
With the extensive MailCamp API you can exchange data between your own system and MailCamp. This lets you synchronise data between both systems. Think of a CRM or ERP system or your web shop, for example.

How a request works
You send an XML POST request to your personal XML path. The code samples in the documentation are written in PHP and use cURL.
Enable the XML API
Go to User account ⇨ Edit user, tab 'User Permissions', tick 'Enable the XML API' and save.
Find your XML path and token
In the same section you will find the XML path, the 'XML Username' and the 'XML token'.
Send your request
Choose a
requesttypeandrequestmethodand receive the response as XML or JSON. For a successful response the status isSUCCESS.
API calls using TLS 1.0 are not supported.

Frequently asked questions
At MailCamp we answer all your questions about our API.
Is using the API free of charge?
We apply a fair use policy. If an API is used excessively or thousands of contacts have to be synchronised very regularly, we may charge for this. Get in touch with sales and tell us what you want to use the API for.
The API call I need is not in the documentation. What now?
There are more API calls than described in our API documentation. In some cases we also build custom API calls. Please do get in touch, because nothing is impossible!
Are there any throttling limits?
No, but if we see that the API is being overloaded, we may block API access. We always recommend working with the API as efficiently as possible and not blindly synchronising data that has not changed since the last sync.
